You can use this item either:Ìý

  • with capital item FG12: Wooden field gateÌý

  • if stone gate posts are traditional in the areaÌý

  • with a boundary restoration capital itemÌý

You cannot use this item:Ìý

  • on historic or archaeological sites identified in your (HEFER)Ìý

  • with Sustainable Farming Incentive management action BND1 Maintain dry stone wallsÌý

What you must do to use this itemÌý

You must set up a stone or slate gate post in the local material, cut or tooled to the size and shape typical of the local area.Ìý

Evidence you must keep Ìý

You must keep photographs of the completed work and provide with your claim.Ìý

You must also keep and provide on request:Ìý

  • any consents or permissions connected with the workÌý

  • receipted invoices or bank statements where a receipted invoice is unavailableÌý

  • photographs of the proposed location of the new gate posts
