Action鈥檚 aim听

This action鈥檚 aim is that land managed as part of a crop rotation is听maintained听under organic management.听

The purpose of this is to:听

  • improve soil health听

  • increase biodiversity听

  • improve water quality听

Eligibility of protected land听

Historic and archaeological features: Eligible 鈥� you must get an SFI HEFER before you do this action (read section听5.3鈥�楲and with historic or archaeological features鈥� in the SFI26 scheme information to find out how to do this).听

Total or part of the available area in a land parcel.听It鈥檚听your responsibility to check that the area you enter is eligible for this action.听

You must do this action on the area听entered into听your SFI26 agreement. If something happens which means you cannot complete this action on some or听all of听the area, you must tell the RPA in writing as soon as possible.听Read section 12.2 鈥榃hat to do if you cannot comply with听your听agreement鈥�听in the SFI26 scheme information to find out how to do this.鈥�� 鈥����

Rotational or static action听

This action is rotational or static. This means you can either:听

  • move its location for the second and third years of this action鈥檚 duration听

  • do it at the same location each year of this action鈥檚 duration听

What to do听

You must听comply with听the organic standards required by your Defra-licensed organic control body on land听entered into听this action.听

When to do it听

You must do this action from its start date, throughout each year of its 3-year duration.听

How to do it听

You must do this action in a way that meets the required organic standards.听

Evidence to keep听

You must keep a valid organic certificate and schedule for all land听entered into听this action. This must cover at least the full period of this action鈥檚 duration.听

You must supply this evidence if we ask for it.听
