Coastal Region
FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the Coastal Region provinces of:
- Esmeraldas
- 惭补苍补产铆
- Santa Elena
- Guayas
- El Oro
- Los R铆os
- Santo Domingo de los Ts谩chilas
This does not apply to airside transit within Guayaquil Airport in Guayas province.
Within 20km of the Ecuador-Colombia border听
FCDO advises against all but essential travel to areas within 20km of the Ecuador-Colombia border, except for these areas in Carchi province:听
- El 脕ngel Ecological Reserve听
- Rumichaca border crossing听
- the town of Tulc谩n听
- the Pan-American Highway听听

The Ecuadorean government has declared a 60-day state of emergency听as of 16听June, for security reasons in听the following听10 provinces:听

The听state of emergency will听mean听greater听police and military presence听on听the听streets.听Follow the advice of local authorities and听monitor听local media.听
