The SLC Board meets eight times a year.

The Board operates within a policy and resources framework determined by the Secretary of State. In summary, its role is: to establish SLC鈥檚 strategic goals and key business objectives and to monitor performance against these; to ensure that there is effective governance concerning the use of public money; to regularly review financial information and provide assurance to Government that appropriate action is taken over any concerns; and to appoint (with the responsible Minister鈥檚 approval) the CEO and set their objectives
