We want your views on聽proposed聽legislative聽changes to implement the聽EIA part of the BBNJ Agreement聽as it applies to licensable marine activities.聽

These include聽proposals聽about:

• extending marine licensing to聽additional聽activities in聽areas beyond national聽jurisdiction聽(ABNJ)聽

• exemptions for activities in 础叠狈闯听

• activity specific regulatory approaches聽

• the application process and guidance for regulating activities in 础叠狈闯听

We聽want to know聽more about聽marine activities in 础叠狈闯听including:

• what activities are taking place in 础叠狈闯听currently, and what activities may take place in 础叠狈闯听in future聽

• who is carrying out, or likely to carry out, these activities and what is their connection to the UK聽

• evidence on聽likely impacts聽of these activities

We鈥檙e聽also asking for views on a proposal to change how marine licensing responsibilities are shared between existing regimes.
