The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has decided to implement, subject to Parliamentary approval, the proposal for 3 unitary councils to be聽established聽in聽Norfolk and 3 unitary councils to be聽established聽in聽Suffolk.
The Norfolk proposal was聽submitted聽by:
- Breckland Council
- Broadland District Council
- Great Yarmouth Borough Council
- Borough Council of King鈥檚 Lynn and West Norfolk
- North Norfolk District Council
- Norwich City Council
The Suffolk聽proposal was聽submitted聽by:
- West Suffolk Council
- Mid Suffolk District Council
- East Suffolk Council -聽Babergh聽District Council
- Ipswich Borough Council

We are seeking views on the proposals submitted by councils for the reorganisation of local government in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Responses to this consultation will inform our decision on which proposal, if any, to implement.
