The charity was placed under statutory inquiry in听July 2025听to investigate concerns about whether the听charity鈥檚听governing document is fit for purpose and听whether any failings or weaknesses听identified听in the administration of the听charity are a result of misconduct and/or mismanagement by its trustees.听

The Commission has appointed听an听Interim Manager to the charity, whose role is to undertake certain duties in line with the charity鈥檚 governing document.听

Pippa听Garland听of听Russell Cooke LLP is听tasked with:听

1. taking any steps听immediately听necessary to secure the property of the听charity including taking control of and managing all assets of the听charity.听听

2. administering the听charity until such time as there are validly appointed trustees.听

3. after the governing document of the听charity is amended by the Commission by听a听scheme under section 79 Charities Act 2011, confirming the听charity鈥檚 membership,听then听holding a general meeting at which a new board of trustees is appointed.听听

4. reporting progress to the Commission on a regular basis as agreed, and in compliance with the Charities (Receiver and Manager) Regulations 1992.听听

5. discharging听such other related general functions as the Commission may听reasonably request.听

The听Interim Manager听has been appointed听to the exclusion of any trustee of the charity.听听

The Commission鈥檚 inquiry into the charity听remains听ongoing.听

• On 10 November 2025, the inquiry exercised the Commission鈥檚 power to appoint an Interim Manager by Order under section 76(3)(g) of the Act to the exclusion of听any听trustees.听Once they have completed the scope of their appointment, the Interim Manager will be discharged by an Order made under section 337(6) of the Act.听听
