Professor Robin Mason is Chair of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom. Robin is also Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) and Professor of Economics at the University of Birmingham; and a decision-making Member of the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the Financial Conduct Authority.

The Chair, Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK is responsible for:
- formulating the CSC’s strategy
- ensuring that the CSC, in reaching decisions, takes proper account of guidance provided by the Foreign Secretary or FCDO
- promoting the efficient and effective use of staff, commissioner expertise and other resources
- encouraging high standards of propriety
- representing the views of the CSC to the general public
