Announcement of Opportunity: 2026 Rosalind Franklin Instrument Science Preparation Support Call

The UK Space Agency is looking to support postdoctoral research on critical science and technical preparation for the 3 UK instrument contributions on the ExoMars Rosalind Franklin Mars rover mission: Enfys, PanCam and RLS.

Who can apply: Academics working at UK Research Organisations to fund Postdoctoral Research Assistants (PDRAs)

Closing dates:

  • Outline Proposal: Friday 26 June 2026, 4pm
  • Full proposal deadline: Friday 21 August 2026, 4pm

Please note that the call includes a 2-stage review process. You must be invited to submit a full proposal after passing your outline proposal. See ‘How to Apply’ for more information.

We expect to run a further call to support science operations for the 3 instruments in 2027 and 2028, subject to approvals.
