This non-statutory guidance is being published to support implementation of Phase 2 of Awaab鈥榮 Law. It also explains the requirements that were brought in by Phase 1.
This guidance will apply from 30 November 2026, when the amendment regulations come into force.
We have also published an annex to this guidance to support landlords in triaging hazards: Awaab鈥檚 Law Phase 2: Hazards guidance for social landlords.
