Each year Defra, partnered with the Nature Friendly Farming Network, organises the Bees鈥� Needs Champions Awards. These awards recognise and celebrate examples of exceptional initiatives undertaken to support pollinators by:
- local authorities
- community groups
- farmers
- businesses
- individuals
Examples of great work might be creating a wildflower patch, educating the local community about pollinators or taking special measures on your farm.
Award categories
There are 2 award categories. You can enter under either:

The communities category includes:
- local authorities
- schools
- community groups
- individuals

Closing date for entries
The awards will open for 2027 entries early next year.
