Committee on Fuel Poverty (CFP) meeting minutes – 28 July 2025
Members present: Caroline Flint (Chair), Anthony Pygram, Anu Singh, Liz Bisset, Belinda Littleton, Gordon McGregor

Agenda Item 1: Chair’s welcome, members interests, minutes of last meetingÌý
The Chair welcomed members. No new member interests were declared. The previous minutes of the formal meeting were agreed as final.
Agenda Item 2: DESNZ update
DESNZÌýprovided the Committee with an update on current fuel poverty schemes and priorities.
Agenda Item 3: Warm Homes Plan
DESNZ provided an update on the Warm Homes Plan, including recent developments and ongoing considerations.
Agenda Item 4: Fuel Poverty Strategy update
DESNZ updated the Committee on the Fuel Poverty Strategy and progress since the consultation.
Agenda Item 5: Private Rented Sector (PRS) Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)
DESNZ provided an update on PRS MEES following the consultation. The discussion focused on recent developments and progress towards implementation.
Agenda Item 6: Price Cap announcement
DESNZ provided an update on the current price cap and anticipated future changes. The discussion focused on recent developments and the implications for consumers.
Agenda Item 7: CFP °ù±ð³¦°ù³Ü¾±³Ù³¾±ð²Ô³ÙÌý
DESNZ provided an update on the CFP recruitment process. The discussion focused on next steps and timelines for appointing new Committee members.

The next formal meeting will be held on 22 September 2025.
