All Department for TransportĀ (DfT)Ā funded transport infrastructure projects that are subject to DfT’s business case assurance process areĀ requiredĀ to produce andĀ maintainĀ aĀ carbonĀ managementĀ planĀ (CMP).

This guidanceĀ sets out best practiceĀ inĀ whole lifeĀ carbon managementĀ forĀ technical teams and decision-makersĀ leadingĀ onĀ transport infrastructureĀ projects. The templateĀ provides a standardised formatĀ that can be usedĀ for a CMP.Ā Both documentsĀ alignĀ with standards set out in PAS 2080:2023.
