This direction requires the council to co-operate with an adviser appointed by the Secretary of State for Education.
It follows publication of:
- a , which judged the overall effectiveness of Dudley鈥檚 children鈥檚 social care services as inadequate
- an independent report by Eleanor Brazil, Dudley Children鈥檚 Services Commissioner
This direction also follows an earlier direction (now revoked) issued to the council on 5 April 2016.
