1. The variation effective from 00:01hrs Wednesday 10 June 2026 is as follows:

1.1 Restrictions on wrasse in Northern Irish waters

  • Affecting all licence categories

New condition in licence schedules appears as follows:

XX.X - This licence does not authorise fishing for wrasse in Northern Ireland waters between 00:01 hours on 1st December and 23:59 hours on 19th June. 

XX.X - In Northern Ireland waters, the minimum conservation reference size for wrasse is 12cm. All wrasse caught below this size must be returned immediately to the sea.

1.2 Over 10m non-sector quota increase

  • Affecting licence categories (as applicable) A (11), A (Islands) (12), B (31), and C (41)
