An improvement notice was issued on 17 July 2013, followed by a second improvement notice issued on 21 May 2014 due to poor performance in children’s social care services.
Ofsted inspected Medway’s arrangements for the protection of children and published a report on 9 January 2013. A report for looked-after children’s services was published on 23 August 2013.
The judged the council as ‘inadequate’ overall.
