This report covers the work done in 2025 by the Jet Zero Taskforce聽Greenhouse Gas Removal聽Task and Finish Group, a sub-group of the鈥�Jet Zero Taskforce.听听

Greenhouse gas removals (GGRs) are the process of actively capturing greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, from the atmosphere.聽

The report also聽explores聽how:聽

  • to address the supply-demand gap聽
  • the market to scale up聽GGR聽supply may be stimulated through an advanced market signal聽(AMS)聽to encourage investment聽
  • enabling short term policy and fiscal frameworks might support GGRs supply and use聽

Although this group is affiliated聽with聽the聽Jet Zero Taskforce, the report is independent聽and does not reflect聽government policy. The report was drafted by the聽task and聽finish group, which was chaired by an industry representative and made up of representatives from across the aviation sector.
