The revised聽Environmental Improvement Plan 2025聽announced a commitment to聽take action聽on聽per- and聽polyfluoroalkyl聽substances聽(PFAS), commonly聽known聽as聽鈥榝orever聽chemicals鈥�.聽This聽included聽the publication of a PFAS Plan in聽2026.聽
The聽plan聽sets out聽the government鈥檚聽overall approach聽to this issue,聽with聽actions聽across聽3聽main聽sections:聽

- reducing ongoing exposure to PFAS听听
