RISE: East of England
Updated 12 May 2026
Applies to England
Regional Director’s welcome
The Regional Director for the East of England is Jonathan Duff.
The East of England has extraordinary potential, but to realise this we must work together on common challenges and share our learning and resources.Ìý
The regional improvement for standards and excellence (RISE) programme is already playing a vital role in helping schools access high-quality improvement support, contributing to this government’s ambition to break the link between a child’s background and their future success. I hope the RISE resources prove valuable in supporting your school’s improvement journey.Ìý
Together with your RISE advisers, I look forward to working across the region to deliver on our 4 shared priorities:Ìý
- raising attainment in English and mathsÌý
- improving attendanceÌý
- strengthening inclusive mainstream provisionÌý
- delivering high-quality reception practiceÌý
By working in partnership, we can raise aspirations and make the East of England the best place in the country to grow up.
