Details

The aims to reintroduce onshore wind generating stations into the definition of nationally significant infrastructure projects. It also sets the capacity threshold at which onshore wind and solar projects are nationally significant infrastructure projects at more than 100 megawatts.

The Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) gave a ‘green’ rating to for the legislation on 10 February 2025. This means that we considered it to be fit for purpose based on our scrutiny of the evidence and analysis supporting the case for why regulation is necessary. 

°Õ³ó±ðÌýRPC’s opinion refers to the evidence and analysis presented in the impact assessment, not the policy itself.
