Details
The national policy statement for ports (NPSP) sets out a framework to support decision-making in relation to UK port development proposals. It also applies to associated road and rail links.
This NPSP follows a consultation on amending the existing national policy statement and will replace the previous NPSP published in 2012.
This statement was laid in Parliament on 2 July 2026. It will be designated after 21 sitting days from the laying date.
