Details

This series contains statistics on the area of non-food crops grown in the UK and their usage in bioenergy applications. This data includes:

Areas of oilseed rape, sugar beet and wheat used for producing biofuels and maize for use in anaerobic digestion.

Areas of miscanthus, short rotation coppice and straw crops grown as plant biomass.

Trends in bioenergy use and generation from crops, including statistics from road transport fuel, electricity, and biogas sectors.
