扒哥吃瓜 Wallet will allow 扒哥吃瓜 One Login users to save and use government-issued documents on their phones to prove things about themselves.

At a user鈥檚 request, digital verification services will be able to access and use the information in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to offer a range of ways to prove identity. The powers to access and use the information are laid out in the Data (Use and Access) Bill.

Digital verification services will first need to be certified against the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework, and added to the digital identity and attribute services register.

How digital verification services can use 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet

Once on the register, digital verification services will be able to use 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet in 2 ways. They could do any, or all, of the following:

1. Use the information in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to offer a range of identity and attribute services.

2. Provide information from 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to other businesses who need to prove information about an individual.

1. Proving identity using 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet

If certified as an identity or attribute service provider, services can use the information in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to help someone prove something about themselves digitally. This is similar to how this is done now using physical documents.聽

If they are also certified as a holder service, they could use information from 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to create a new reusable digital identity document. This is also known as a 鈥榙erived credential鈥�. It could either prove specific things like age, or contain a range of different identity information.

2. Providing 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet information to other businesses

Businesses certified as orchestration service providers can move information from 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet to another business to prove something about a user. For example, they could connect 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet with an online shop so it can share a user鈥檚 age.聽

There鈥檒l be no record of where the documents in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet have been used, or for what purpose.

What鈥檚 in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet

扒哥吃瓜 Wallet currently holds the HM Armed Forces Veteran Card. This will be followed by the digital driving licence.

Only government documents can be saved in 扒哥吃瓜 Wallet. Users will not be able to save other types of documents, for example train or concert tickets.
