Start making deductions in accordance with the instructions given on the Start Notice.

The employee can check their balance on their online account

Once the loan has been repaid, the Student Loans Company will notify HMRC and we will issue a stop notice. You should only stop making deductions when instructed by HMRC. 

The employee can request a refund online if they have overpaid their student loan.
