IHTM31771 - Assessing: CTDs: introduction

A certificate of tax deposit (CTD) (IHTM30186) is a form of deposit made by a purchaser to cover present or future liabilities to HMRC.

Because the certificate itself usually carries interest, you must treat it in a different way to a normal deposit.
