HCOTEG82290 - Operations in warehouse: Additives: Additives: Aviation fuel additives

Providing the additive is one prescribed by the Aeronautical Inspection Department or by the US Air Force authorities, no objection need be raised to applications to receive into warehouse or producers premises substances for addition to aviation fuel under HCOTEG82270.

Otherwise, Eurofins (formerly LGC) laboratory may be consulted to ensure that the additive will not impede the identification of the prescribed markers, if the aviation fuel were later to be diverted for other use. In these circumstances the trader may proceed pending receipt of Eurofins’ advice.

Warehousekeepers need not apply for revenue authority to add ASA-3 to kerosene (including AVTUR): nor need such additive be referred to Eurofins.
