Product Description Polycarbonate visors for hockey helmets. Affected FMHVR products are marked with “HVR” on the outside of the metal plate securing the polycarbonate visor to the age on the right side (looking through the visor). Affected ACCHVR products have a serial number beginning with “SR.” This number can be found at the top corner of the visor, engraved into the polycarbonate on right side (looking through the visor).

Hazard

The product presents a risk of injuries because the polycarbonate portion of the hybrid visor may in some cases develop micro fissures around the screw holes that connect the polycarbonate portion to the cage portion. This could potentially lead to cracking if it were subject to a powerful impact, such as a hockey puck travelling at high velocity.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment.

Corrective action

The product has been recalled from end users and withdrawn from the market by Sport Maska Inc. We recommend owners stop using the product immediately and return to their nearest participating retailer.
