Hazard
The product presentsĀ a high riskĀ of electric shock asĀ the plug face does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 andĀ thereforeĀ cannot make a secure connection to the socket.Ā The plugĀ fuseĀ alsoĀ does notĀ containĀ a ballastĀ and isĀ deemedĀ counterfeit.Ā A compliant fuse with ballast isĀ requiredĀ to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Without this, the plug may overheat and/or explode.Ā
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import hasĀ been rejectedĀ at the border.
