Publication scheme

This publication scheme specifies the categories of information that the Fair Work Agency regularly publishes and explains how to get that information.


The encourages public authorities to make information available to the public wherever possible. TheÌýFair Work Agency (FWA)Ìýdoes this by publishing the data that people need to understand,Ìýwho we are, what we spend and what we achieve.Ìý

Under the act, weÌýare required toÌýadopt a publication scheme thatÌýcontainsÌýinformation we makeÌýavailable andÌýensure that all published information isÌýin accordance withÌýthe scheme.

Available information is grouped under the following ‘classes of information’.Ìý

This will develop as FWA publishes more information.ÌýÌý

Who we are and what we doÌýÌý

This informationÌýcovers our organisationalÌýdetails, structure,ÌýlocationsÌýand contacts. This includes information about us.

What we spend and how we spend itÌý

This is where we publish financial information about projected and actual income, expenditure, procurement,ÌýcontractsÌýand financial audits. This includes:Ìý

  • our annual reportÌý

  • expenditure over £25,000Ìý

  • what our priorities are and how we are doingÌý

This category covers departmental strategies and plans, performance indicators, audits,ÌýinspectionsÌýand reviews, including:Ìý

  • ²õ³Ù°ù²¹³Ù±ð²µ²âÌý

  • business planÌý

  • annual report and accountsÌýÌý

How we make decisionsÌýÌý

This is where we publish details of our decision-making processes and records of our decisions,Ìýas well as consultations. These include:ÌýÌý

Our policies and proceduresÌýÌý

This information covers our protocols,ÌýpoliciesÌýand procedures for providing services, and responsibilities, including:ÌýÌý

Lists and registersÌý

This is where we publish details of the department’s public registers, assetÌýregistersÌýand disclosure logs.

The services we offerÌý

Advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases,ÌýresearchÌýand analysis.
